Roger Waters + David Gilmour... It finally happened

Big surprise: The Pink Floyd mates chose London instead of St. Paul or Omaha for their reunion.

May 12, 2011 at 11:27PM

Remember all that hyper-hubbub last October about David Gilmour possibly showing up at Roger Waters' Xcel Energy Center show or another gig in Omaha, after a few rock-fans-in-the-know swear they saw the two ex-Pink Floyd mates dining together at Bar La Grassa? Well, those of us who helped spread the rumors can eat slightly smaller amounts of crow now that the reunion actually happened. They did it "tonight" at the 02 Arena in London (as in just a few hours ago England time). Not only was Gilmour there, but Floyd drummer Nick Mason also showed up. Here's the RollingStone.com account of the oh-so-brief and almost certain one-time-only reunion. This fan-shot clip of Gilmour playing "Comfortably Numb" atop the wall at the show is going majorly viral as you read this. We're still waiting for the clip from their La Grassa date.
