Robbinsdale police seek help locating hit-and run-suspect who hospitalized pedestrian

December 5, 2018 at 1:08AM

Robbinsdale police are seeking the public's help in identifying a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a pedestrian Monday evening.

Officers responded to a crash report at the intersection of County Road 81 and 41st Avenue N just before 10 p.m.

Across the concrete barrier, a man could be heard moaning in pain and yelling "he's running away!"

A preliminary investigation determined that an unidentified motorist struck the pedestrian before fleeing the scene. The adult victim found lying in the roadway was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, authorities said.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored or gray sedan, possibly a Chevrolet. Police say the vehicle likely has front end and windshield damage from the collision.

Anyone with information on the crash should contact Robbinsdale police.
