Robbery, shooting leads to 4 arrests in Hopkins

Hopkins police took four men into custody following a robbery involving a firearm Monday night.

Officers were called to Valley Park on the 700 block of 8th Avenue S. around 7:45 p.m. on a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a victim who said he had been robbed and shot at. The victim had injuries, but they were not the result of a gun shot, said Sgt. Mike Glassberg.

Neither the name of the victim nor his name has been released.

Four men were arrested and booked into the Hennepin County Jail.

Authorities with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and Hopkins, Edina and Minnetonka police departments are investigating the incident.
