This chart of expected water levels would seem to foretell a premature closing for the musical "Cabaret" on the Centennial Showboat at Harriet Island in downtown St. Paul.
Shows close early sometimes due to poor reviews or slow ticket sales, but the musical "Cabaret" could face a different fate: spring flooding.
The Frank Theater production is set to run through March 27 on board the Centennial Showboat at Harriet Island in downtown St. Paul. And while director and Frank founder Wendy Knox expresses confidence that the show will go on, the City of St. Paul forecast, charted above, has rising waters hitting the "action stage" next Wednesday and flood stage soon after that.

The showboat would float, of course, but not the adjacent parking lot, located on Harriet Island. Stay tuned for more news, but those wanting to see the show might be smart to get there sooner rather than later.
