Hennepin County prosecutors on Friday charged a Richfield woman in connection with her boyfriend's fatal stabbing in south Minneapolis earlier this week.

Bianca L. Jackson, 22, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of 21-year-old Anthony Morgan, who died from stab wounds to the neck.

According to criminal charges:

Morgan was lying in his bed with Jackson in his Minneapolis apartment just before 5 p.m. Wednesday when Jackson stabbed him in the neck. Morgan ran out of the residence in the 2100 block of 3rd Avenue S., and told two men sitting outside that Jackson stabbed him.

The men called 911 and put a towel on Morgan's wound until paramedics arrived. He was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Jackson initially fled the scene on foot, but she was arrested and booked into Hennepin County jail Thursday afternoon. Investigators also found the knife used in the stabbing.
