The Carver County Sheriff's Office has increased the reward for information leading to an arrest and charges in the death of Earl Olander, the 90-year-old man found last month in his ransacked San Francisco Township home.

The reward had been $1,000, but it is now $7,500.

Olander's body was found April 11 by a friend who had been asked by a relative to check on the man's welfare. Olander's hands had been bound and there were cuts and bruises on his face.

The investigation continues, authorities said Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 952-361-1212, leave a message on the tip line at 952-361-1224, or use the tip form on the Sheriff's Office website www.co.carver.mn.us/county_government/sheriff/crimetip_form.asp.
