As a young guy on an old team, former Twins center fielder Ben Revere is getting a lot of attention with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Here's a look at some of what's shown up on the web within the last day or so.
A Philly.com story from spring training points out one of the flaws in Revere's game, an unhealthy coupling of batting average and on-base percentage. While pointing out that Revere had a .294 average for the Twins last season, writer Matt Gelb cited Revere's .333 on-base percentage and wrote: "No one who hit at least .294 in 2012 had a lower on-base percentage than Revere."
And Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said: "I guarantee you the fans will like him if he gets on base."

Meanwhile, New York Times baseball writer Tyler Kepner described Revere as "a fresh, eager presence among the veterans" on the Phillies.
Kepner's writing puts the harsh on some of Revere's enthusiasm for his new team.
Revere tells him: "I'm only 24 years old; most guys say that's really young in the major league baseball life. Every year I want to get better at something, improve on something. If I'm batting leadoff, I want to try to be that spark plug like I've been all my life, so I can get that train moving, get the fireworks working. We've got a really great lineup."
