WASHINGTON -- Democratic Reps. Betty McCollum and Tim Walz are heading to China today on a government-sponsored trip led by Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

McCollum, who represents St. Paul, and Walz, who represents southern Minnesota, will focus on "economic growth, national and cyber security, human rights and the importance of bold action to reduce carbon pollution" according to Pelosi's office.

All told, seven Democrats are going on the week-long trip to Asia.

The members will meet with local Chinese government, students and "civil society," Pelosi's office said.
