Reports of Snow Goose migration in SD and Neb

Two flocks sighted, 10s of thousands of birds

Strange weather, for sure. Snow Geese today have been reported moving north in both South Dakota and Nebraska today, Feb. 13. The South Dakota a flock of an estimated 500 birds was seen over Sioux Falls. A traveler in south central Nebraska reported a flock of at least 30,000 birds, and likely tens of thousands more. The temperature in that part of Nebraska today (for Hebron) is the same as Minneapolis -- 47 degrees.
