The Vikings have struck a deal with Norv Turner to become the offensive coordinator under head coach Mike Zimmer, according to CBSSports.com's Jason LaConfora.

The offense should be in expert hands under Turner, who has 38 years of coaching experience. The Vikings were plagued with inconsistency at quarterback throughout the season and finished 23rd in pass offense (214.2 ypg) in a pass happy league.

Turner spent last season as the Browns offensive coordinator after six years serving as the Chargers head coach. The Browns also dealt with issues at quarterback last season but still finished 11th in pass offense (252.4 ypg). Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon led the league with 1,646 receiving yards.

In other Vikings news, running back Adrian Peterson will reportedly visit a specialist in Philadelphia about his season long groin issue, according to the USA Today.
