Report: Seahawks, Carroll close to deal

Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier expected to interview with Seahawks officials Saturday

We wanted to update a story that has been fluid all day. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks and USC coach Pete Carroll are close to reaching a deal that would make him head coach and team president.

As Judd wrote in a previous blog, Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier is scheduled to interview with Seahawks officials in Minneapolis on Saturday, according to league sources.

This story changed several times Friday afternoon so we'll see how it unfolds over the next few days. The Vikings are scheduled to return to practice on Sunday so Saturday is the final day that Frazier can interview with any team until after the Vikings season is finished.
