Wide receiver Sidney Rice's name surfaced this week in the Brooklyn Federal Court trial of an East New York woman charged with credit card fraud, according to a report in the New York Daily News.

Rice, who could be a free agent once the NFL's labor situation is settled, reportedly took trips with discounted airline tickets. Winsome White is on trial for allegedly using stolen credit card numbers to purchase tickets that were then sold for a lower price. White's boyfriend, Ashley Simmons, already has pleaded guilty and is serving a 105-month prison sentence.

While Rice's name came up during the court case, he has not been arrested or charged and the story gives no indication that he knew about the scam. According to the Daily News, Assistant U.S. Attorney Darren LaVerne did not present evidence of how Rice purchased the airline tickets or from whom. Here is the story.
