Report: Rays executive Chaim Bloom in mix with Twins

Bloom, a 2004 Yale graduate and former Baseball Prospectus writer, would certainly be a radical departure from the Terry Ryan era.

Our La Velle E. Neal gave a detailed update on the Twins' search for new front office executives in this morning's paper, but as is the case in searches like this there's another name already emerging:

Chaim Bloom, a VP from Tampa Bay — at least according to a tweet from Ken Rosenthal.

Bloom, a 2004 Yale graduate and former Baseball Prospectus writer, would certainly be a radical departure from the Terry Ryan era. He's been with the Rays since joining that organization in 2005, rising up the ranks from intern to VP of baseball operations.
