ProFootballTalk reported Saturday that an unnamed team already has worked out a deal with San Diego wide receiver Vincent Jackson, but that the Chargers still must agree to the trade.
The Vikings and Washington have been mentioned consistently in speculation about where Jackson ultimately could end up. It's unknown if either team is the one that has a deal in place.
If Jackson is traded by 3 p.m. Wednesday, his NFL suspension will be four games. If not, he must sit out six games.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reported a few weeks ago that an unknown team had a one-year deal worth $7 million plus incentives worked out with Jackson. But the deal reportedly fell apart because the Chargers and the team could not work out compensation.
PFT makes a good point in that the Chargers likely want to wait until after Sunday's game before making a trade. That's because if a team loses its top receiver to an injury on Sunday, it could be in the market for Jackson.
