It appears Rhys Lloyd could be returning to the Carolina Panthers.

The kickoff specialist who signed a deal with the Vikings this offseason that guaranteed him $200,000, will workout for his former team on Tuesday, according to the Charlotte Observer. Lloyd, who spent 2008 and '09 kickoff off for Carolina, was waived by the Vikings this month in their final cuts after a disappointing preseason.

Todd Carter, whom the Panthers signed to take Lloyd's place, had back spasms while warming up before Carolina's loss to the Giants on Sunday and had to leave after one kickoff.
