Vikings reportedly will bring TCU quarterback Andy Dalton in for private visit

March 11, 2011 at 9:06PM

The Vikings are expected to conduct private workouts with a number of quarterbacks before the draft.

Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton already has been mentioned as one quarterback the team will put through a private workout. FOXsports.com's Adam Caplan reported Friday that the Vikings are expected to bring in TCU's Andy Dalton for a visit at some point too.

Caplan reports that Dalton has private workouts scheduled with the Bears, Chiefs, Browns and Patriots, and that the Bengals, Vikings and Titans also are expected to bring in him for visits.

Dalton is expected to be a second-round pick. Here is NFL.com's Gil Brandt's report on Dalton from TCU's pro day on Friday.
