The Denver Post is reporting that Vikings running backs coach Eric Bieniemy will be named offensive coordinator at Colorado, according to former coach Bill McCartney.

The newspaper said Washington Redskins tight ends coach Jon Embree has accepted the head coach job and will bring Bieniemy with him as the offensive coordinator. Both coaches interviewed with Colorado officials in Washington, D.C., last Saturday. Bieniemy was reportedly a finalist for the head coaching job.

The school issued a statement denying that an offer has been made to Embree. Vikings interim coach Leslie Frazier said he did not have any new information when asked about Bieniemy after practice. He was asked before the Post report was published.

Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell was asked about possibly losing Bieniemy to Colorado during his weekly press conference.

"I can't even worry about it," Bevell said. "Our job is to focus on what we can focus on. That is the Buffalo Bills this week. We're going to go with what we need to go with and basically who is here."
