BEYOND THE BOXSCORE

Kluwe agonizes after rough game

Chris Kluwe was frank.

The Vikings punter had a horrible start to his worst game of the season as the Vikings lost to Tampa Bay 36-17 on Thursday.

His first punt went 35 yards. His second was a 20-yard shank that set the Buccaneers up for a drive for a field goal. His third punt was a low 39-yarder from his own 13. Tampa got the ball at the Minnesota 48 and scored a TD to take a 10-0 lead eight plays later.

"It's always tough," Kluwe said. "I have a job to do, and I didn't do it. I let the team down. It's a horrible feeling."

In all, Kluwe had six punts and averaged 37.8 yards.
