CLICK PICK Ryan Braun was the biggest star added to the list of those said to be linked to a Miami-area clinic that allegedly deals in PEDs in a follow-up report this week from Yahoo.com. But another familiar name to Twins fans reportedly showed up on the list: Danny Valencia. Said Valencia (now with Baltimore) in a statement, according to the site: "I am shocked and troubled that my name is in any way connected to this story."
FAST FACT The Timberwolves and Knicks represented three-point shooting extremes when they played Friday at Target Center. Minnesota came in having made just 255 threes, while the Knicks had made a league-high 528 -- more than double the Wolves' total.

TUBBY SMITH, PLEASE PLAY THE TAPES OF THE INDIANA/MICHIGAN GAME AND THE MINNESOTA/IOWA GAME FOR YOUR TEAM ASAP.
INDIANA AND MICHIGAN PLAYERS WERE MOVING THREE TO FOUR TIMES AS MANY STEPS AS THE MINNESOTA PLAYERS. BY PASSING, MOVING, CATCHING, PASSING, MOVING, SHOOTING, INDIANA AND MICHIGAN MADE BETTER OPPORTUNITIES FOR BASKETS. WE SHOULD TRY THAT "SWARMING" AGAINST BIG TEN TEAMS.

A.P. deserved better
I was extremely disappointed when I opened the paper on Sunday morning (Feb. 3) to see that not only was Adrian Peterson's MVP award not front and center on the first page, it was not even front and center in the sports section. I think this is a huge disgrace and showed a complete and utter lack of support for our Vikings and our star, Adrian Peterson. After this season when fans and media alike had virtually written the Vikings and Peterson off as a nonfactor, to come from behind as the injured underdog and make it to the playoffs, and in addition receive one of the biggest honors bestowed upon an NFL team and player is nothing short of phenomenal. It saddens and angers me that we cannot properly show support for a man and team that have inspired countless people.
