Bring on global warming Doesn't it seem rather odd that Minnesota -- the self-proclaimed State of Hockey -- should have to congratulate L.A. Kings and the Golden State of California on their Stanley Cup victory? In the past 15 years, eight teams from states that typically have no ice and no snow -- Florida, Texas, California and North Carolina -- have won or been runner-up in the Stanley Cup Finals. The last time Minnesota went to the Finals was 1991, and we lost. There are a lot of people out there who are concerned and complain about global warming. I think, as a Wild fan, I'm all for it.
