If you've got an attached garage, count your lucky stars. In New York City there's a new 19-floor condo building that's trying to attract buyers with an elevator that will lift your car to your apartment so that you can go right from your condo to your car without ever being seen. They're calling the en-suite Sky Garage, and apparently it's a popular option with celebs, including (rumor has it), Nicole Kidman and many others. Even in a rough condo market, as of this summer, there was only one unit available and it was listed or about $6 million.

Closest thing to it that I can think of here in the Twin Cities are two low-rise downtown Minneapolis condo buildings that have some units with direct-access parking. One is Metropolitan Lofts and other is the Main Street portion of the Phoenix on the River. Big difference in those cases is that there's no "lift" to your parking spot, you drive to it. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
