• 3 blackberries, divided
• 5 to 7 fresh mint leaves, plus mint sprig for garnish
• 3/4 oz. (1 1/2 tbsp.) fresh lemon juice
• 3/4 oz. (1 1/2 tbsp.) demerara syrup (see Note)
• 1 1/2 oz. (3 tbsp.) sherry (amontillado, which is medium-dry)
• 1 oz. (2 tbsp.) Cocchi Americano (an Italian aperitif)
