Featuring work by 13 Somali-American artists, half of them based in Minnesota, this ambitious exhibition was organized by curator Mohamud Mumin and the Somaal House of Art collective. It continues with programming over the next three weeks. On Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., Mohamed Hersi will do a live painting for audiences, followed by a reception with the artists from 6 to 8 p.m. (Chase House Community Room, 1530 S. 6th St., second floor, Mpls.) Additional works are on view at the Masjid Dar Al-Hijrah/ICSA (504 Cedar Av. S., Mpls.) and Masjid Shaafici Cultural Center (400 Cedar Av. S., Mpls.).
