Q: Is the reality show “OutDaughtered” coming back with new episodes any time soon?
A: Yes. TLC will begin airing new episodes May 7. According to the network, “with the start of a new school year upon them — Adam and Danielle are struggling to keep up with their all-girl quintuplets, Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley, Parker, and oldest daughter, Blayke. The quints are learning how to read and taking on more chores around the house. Adam and Danielle can start to see which of the girls is thriving and who needs a little extra attention.”
A gust of ‘Winds’
Q: Do you have any indication when “Dark Winds” will be returning?
A: The drama series based on the novels by Tony Hillerman is now in production, with the televising of new episodes on AMC and AMC+ expected in 2025. This third season takes place six months after the previous seasons, with Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) and Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon) investigating the disappearance of two boys, and Bernadette Manuelito (Jessica Matten) finding that her new life leads to the discovery of a smuggling conspiracy. There also will be some new guest stars including Jenna Elfman and Bruce Greenwood.
Prequel continues
Q: What’s the status of “1923″? Will there be more episodes?
A: Yes. A second season of the “Yellowstone” prequel starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren was announced even before the first season finished. But I don’t have any information on when it might air; like many shows, its plans were stymied for a time by the Hollywood writers and actors strikes.
Hard to find
Q: Back in the late 1950s or early ‘60s I saw a movie called “It’s a Woman’s World,” I think. It included such stars as June Allyson, Cornel Wilde, Fred MacMurray and Arlene Dahl. I have never seen it aired on TV or on any of the streaming services. Does it still exist, or has it gone the way of decayed movie reels?
A: The 1954 film titled “Woman’s World,” described by one reference as a “glossy and ultra-sophisticated glimpse into the leather-lined world of big business,” indeed seems hard to find. But it has not disappeared. It has been released on DVD, and it is available on YouTube.
