Read the story of LeBron in Las Vegas and ESPN's explanation for taking it down

Interesting.

From what we can tell, ESPN had a story up for at least a little while about LeBron James partying -- if that can even be the word for the decadence that occurred -- in Las Vegas. Then the story went away. Then Deadspin posted a version via a saved Google document.

ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz offers this explanation to Darren Rovell as to why the piece was pulled: "The story should have never been published. The draft was inadvertently put on the server before going through the usual editorial process. We are in the midst of looking into the matter."

Interesting. It seems somewhat plausible because the copy seemed a little raw. It read more stream-of-consciousness than anything else. But the package itself looked pretty polished. That said, while there is nothing terribly shocking in it, LeBron does seem to be a fan of scantily clad ladies and wishes they might fly around Peter Pan-style. It's an interesting look inside his inner circle.

Randle was a strong candidate to play in the All-Star Game on Sunday, but was not chosen and will head to the beach instead.
