Prosecutors on Monday charged Jake Thomas Patterson, 21, of Gordon, Wis., with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, kidnapping and armed burglary related to the Oct. 15 deaths of James and Denise Closs, of Barron, Wis., and the abduction of their daughter, Jayme.
Patterson was arrested Thursday after Jayme Closs escaped from the home in Gordon where she was held captive for nearly three months. The charging document, below, says Patterson confessed to the crimes after his arrest. WARNING: The criminal complaint contains graphic details of the alleged crimes. The Star Tribune has redacted addresses from the document.
