The Ramsey County jail was locked down Tuesday and part of Wednesday after reports of contraband inside.
That lockdown was lifted Tuesday afternoon about 3 p.m., said Becqi Sherman, public information officer with the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office.
Officials found a cellphone in a search but have no reason to believe there was a weapon in the facility, Sherman said.
"Per standard procedure and to ensure the safety of both inmates and staff, the facility was locked down," Sherman said.
The Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident.
