This will make things a bit more difficult: The Minnesota Department of Transportation on Monday will close the ramp from westbound I-94 to Hennepin and Lyndale avenues in downtown Minneapolis.

Also closing Monday will be the ramp from E. 16th Street to westbound I-94. That's near the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The closures will be in place for the next 10 days. During the closures, motorists will be directed to use 11th Street to Hennepin Avenue. The closures are related to the $46 million pavement rehabilitation and bridge repair project being carried out by the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

In downtown Minneapolis, the Nicollet Mall reconstruction project is taking out a lanes on a number of east-west streets. Starting Monday, that includes 8th Street.

The City of Minneapolis says two lanes on 8th Street at Nicollet will close Monday until June 5. Last week lanes on 7th Street and 6th Street closed.
