June 12, 2009 at 1:25PM

A storm system heading through the Northeast will send soaking rainthroughout much of New England today. Over an inch of rain will drench parts ofthis area by tonight as the storm heads northeastward away from the region.Meanwhile, unsettled conditions farther south will spark some showers andthunderstorms in the mid-Atlantic. Unfortunately, stormy weather will continuealong much of the Eastern Seaboard through the weekend.
