A chilly rain will continue to dampen the Great Lakes region and will spread farther across the Northeast. There will be a localized flood threat in both urban areas and areas along small rivers and streams.

A widespread area from the Great Lakes area to the Northeast coast will receive 0.5-1.0 inch of rain through the day on Tuesday. Higher amounts of 1-2 inches will be unleashed over the mid-Atlantic coast and across much of Pennsylvania and New York. A few locales over eastern New England will have up to 3 inches of rain.
