After seven years at WCCO, Rachel Slavik is moving on. The Minnesota native, who also spent time reporting in Duluth, announced at Facebook Sunday that this would be her last week at the CBS affiliate.

"My decision to leave news didn't come easily. I just need a new challenge," she wrote. "Life is about growth and, for me, that involves a career change. I will still be finding and telling stories, just from a corporate perspective."

Slavik's decision was part of a busy weekend of breaking news at local stations. KARE said Friday that it was parting ways with long-time morning anchor Kim Insley. On Sunday, Bill Lunn confirmed that he was being transferred from a prime-time anchor at KSTP to reporter.
