The 20th Earth Day Run Fri-Sat. will draw runners to the downtown area to participate in a half-marathon relay, a half-marathon, a 5K run/walk or a 1K children's run, walk or bike. Lanesboro, Minn. & Decorah, Iowa

Enjoy the scenic backdrop of southeastern Minnesota during the Bluff Country Studio Art Tour April 26-28. The self-guided tour features artists at work at dozens of studios and galleries from Lanesboro to Decorah. Dozens of paintings, woodcarvings, sculptures, pottery, metal and other art will be on display and/or for sale. Travelers can plan a getaway to see where the buffalo roam with a visit to the National Buffalo Museum at the Frontier Village. The museum owns a herd of bison that roam the grounds outside the village, and most visitors are drawn to the site to see two rare white bison. Outside the museum, you can't miss the world's largest buffalo monument, a 26-foot-tall, 46-foot-long sculpture.
