Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" sold 339,000 copies, making it the second best-selling first week sales of 2013 after Justin Timberlake's "20/20 Experience" sold 960,000.

Ex-Pantera singer Philip Anselmo's solo album, "Walk Through Exits Only," drops on July 16. His solo tour includes an Aug. 3 date at First Avenue in Minneapolis. ... "Wise Up Ghost," Elvis Costello's album with the Roots, will be released Sept. 7. ... After making Oscar- and Grammy-winning film music, Trent Reznor has finally completed a new Nine Inch Nails album, due this year. The group will undertake a U.S. tour in the fall.

Rick Springfield's novel, "Magnificent Vibration," — yes, the singer/actor is an author, too — will be published in May 2014 by Simon & Shuster.... Taylor by Taylor Swift, her third perfume, will be available later this month at Ulta. The new scent blends top notes of lychee, sparkling tangerine and magnolia petals, and a base of sandalwood, apricot nectar and a blend of woods.
