You're a three-sport athlete -- soccer, hockey and golf. Which do you prefer? I like all of them, but I'd probably have to say hockey. I've been playing hockey my entire life.

Hockey officially starts Monday. Are you ready? I think so. I've been playing hockey in the Elite League on weekends and we've had captains practices on Wednesdays and Sunday. I can't wait.

So you're happy that winter is coming? Yes. It's my favorite time of the year.

Let's talk soccer. The team lost in a shootout to Eastview in the Section 3, 2A finals. Were you involved in the shootout?

Yes. I missed.

What happened? I kept telling myself not to shoot over the top of the net. And that's exactly what I did.

Thinking too much? Probably. Sometimes, it works out best if you don't think too much.

Do you like shootouts? I like them if we're on the winning side, but games should be decided on the field, for sure.

What do you do to get away from sports? Well, I play guitar a little. It helps me relax.

Do you ever perform in front of people? No. Too much stage fright.

Any favorite artists? I like The Fray right now. And I like country. But I can't stand Taylor Swift.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
