Age: 27. Neighborhood: Elliot Park, Mpls. Occupation: Actor, filmmaker, witty liquor store clerk.

Q: How'd you start making movies?

A: I studied filmmaking at MCAD and met a lot of terrific collaborators there. It all started when I saw "Mallrats" when I was 10 -- it was the first time I thought about the creator of a movie. It was also the first time I saw breasts in a movie, so it was a landmark in that regard, as well.

Q: When did you start being Lowry Hill Liquors' cutup cashier?

A: In the beginning it was a way to make it fun, and then I think some people really started enjoying it. So if I can brighten people's day a bit by saying some crazy catchphrase, that makes me happy. My original was "Have a magical night," but that developed into an ad-lib kind of thing.

Q: You're a huge Vikings fan. What's the biggest Vikings fanboy thing you've done?

A: For three or four years I did this blog called Bring Moss Back. It was basically a bunch of memes, and that whole thing culminated when Moss actually did come back to the Vikes in 2010, and I was interviewed by the Star Tribune and the New York Times.

Q: Tell me about your new movie, "Wingman."

A: It's a movie where you hang out with these characters while they're socializing. I was trying to make something that was entertaining and believable, true to me and the people I hang out with.
