Psst! Garlic! When Mr. Tidbit mentioned the transformation of Campbell's Select soups into Campbell's Select Harvest soups, he neglected to point out that Campbell's Select Gold soups in gold-colored brick packages have not become Select Harvest Gold soups but instead are V8 soups, in green-colored brick packages. Three Select Gold flavors were replaced, but Golden Butternut Squash survived, as did Italian Tomato with Basil and Garlic. That soup is now called Tomato Herb, which might sound different, but here's its description: "Field-grown tomatoes. Tender basil. A rumor of garlic."

Extra potassium Over in the nutrient-added yogurt department, the Promise brand until now was represented by only one product: Promise Activ Supershots, "with natural plant sterols clinically proven to help remove cholesterol." Now there's another product with the same name but in a blue and white box instead of green and white, and instead of the plant sterols, it contains potassium "to help control blood pressure."

Fibrous Wheat Thins This week's new entry from Nabisco is a fiber-enhanced version of its Wheat Thins crackers. Regular Wheat Thins contain 1 gram of fiber per serving and the multigrain and whole-grain versions each have 2 grams; new Wheat Thins Fiber Selects (garden vegetable or 5-grain) contain 5 grams of fiber per serving, due to added oat fiber. You know what comes next: It's in a smaller package (7.5 ounces vs. 9.5 or 10), so it costs more per ounce.
