PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Hayden Hawkey made 19 saves Sunday and fourth-seeded Providence beat third-seeded Cornell 4-0, earning the Friars their fifth trip to the Frozen Four and first since winning it all in 2015.

Providence (24-11-6), which played minutes from its campus at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, beat top-seeded Minnesota State Mankato 6-3 on Saturday and followed that with a shutout, despite giving the Big Red two power plays in the opening seven minutes.

Greg Printz scored on a rebound not long after Cornell's second power play ended. Josh Wilkins made it 2-0 early in the second period, and Scott Conway scored a power-play goal with a second left in the period. Brandon Duhaime added an empty-netter late.

Austin McGrath made 25 saves for Cornell (21-11-14).
