PROPOSED NFL CONCUSSION SETTLEMENT

• Would cover more than 20,000 retired NFL players, including roughly 4,500 who were in lawsuits consolidated for the settlement.

• Ex-players or their estates would be eligible for monetary awards depending on the nature of the brain impairment, age at diagnosis and number of seasons played.

• The NFL makes no admission of guilt.

• The settlement, which would last for 65 years, could pay out nearly $1 billion.
