The first duty of love is to listen.

The Minnesota Council of Churches and the Islamic Center of Minnesota begain a dialogue series called "Prophets, Patriarchs, & People of Promise!"
We had a dialogue on Abraham, the Angels, Adam and Eve, upon them peace and blessings. In February, we will continue our dialogue series with a dialogue on Muhammad, upon him peace and blessings.
For Muslims, he is the seal of the Prophets and the universal messenger. Did you know Muslims believe the Bible predicts his coming? And while some Christians thought he was the Antichrist, others believed God used him to end paganism in the Middle East?
Join us Sunday, February 16 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. as the Muslim Christian Dialogue, a partnership of the Minnesota Council of Churches and the Islamic Center of Minnesota, presents a dialogue of Muhammad.
A sign of his great love was that he listened to everyone before judging to the extent that he was mocked for his listening skills.
This month, our conversation will be lead by Mohamed El-Tayash and Dr. Terrance Nichols.
Mohamed El-Tayash teaches Islamic Studies and social studies classes at Al-Amal School in Fridley. He has a BA in both philosophy and history from the University of Missouri. He is currently working towards a graduate degree in education from Hamline University. For the past 8 years, he has been studying topics in Islamic Theology through Darul Qasim in Chicago, IL, an educational institute in traditional Islamic knowledge for adults.
