August 23, 2010 at 7:25PM

The storm which is producing the cloudy, cool and wet weather over theNortheast will move out to sea later this week as a large ridge of highpressure builds in from the west.As the high pressure area builds in, it will turn much drier with a gradualwarming trend Friday through the weekend across the Northeast.

At the same time, heat will begin to expand back into the Midwest as southwestwinds take over.

The Northeast could get awfully dry and much warmer by next week as the highpressure just sits across the region.
