From the flamboyant Deion Sanders -- who wrapped his trademark 'do rag on his bust -- to the workmanlike Chris Hanburger, seven legends entered the Hall of Fame on Saturday. A look at the newest class:

THE CLASS 0F 2011

RICHARD DENT • DEFENSIVE END

Drafted: 203rd overall (eighth round) out of Tennessee State by Chicago Bears in 1983.

Pro career: 1983-1997 (203 games). His 137 1/2 career sacks ranked third all time at the time of his retirement.

Quote: "You must dream and you must be dedicated to something in your life. When you have dreams, it is very tough to say you can do everything by yourself. It's all about other people."

MARSHALL FAULK • RUNNING BACK

Drafted: Second overall out of San Diego State by Indianapolis Colts in 1994.

Pro career: 1994-2005 (176 games). First NFL player to gain 2,000 yards from scrimmage in four consecutive seasons.

Quote: "Boy this is pretty special. ... I am glad to be a part of it. This is football heaven."

DEION SANDERS • CORNERBACK/RETURNER

Drafted: Fifth overall out of Florida State by Atlanta Falcons in 1989.

Pro career: 1989-2000, 2004-05 (188 games). Had 53 career interceptions and scored 22 TDs five different ways.

Quote: "This game taught me how to be a man. This game taught me if I get knocked down, I got to get my butt back up. ... If your dream ain't bigger than you, there's a problem with your dream."

SHANNON SHARPE • TIGHT END

Drafted: 192nd overall (seventh round) out of Savannah State by Denver Broncos in 1990.

Pro career: 1990-2003 (204 games). At retirement, was NFL record-holder in receptions, yards and TDs for a tight end.

Quote: "When people told me I'd never make it, I listened to the one person who said I could: me."

CHRIS HANBURGER • LINEBACKER

Drafted: 245th overall (18th round) out of North Carolina by Washington Redskins in 1965.

Pro career: 1965-1978 (187 games). A senior nominee, one of the most dependable and steady linebackers of his era.

Quote: "[This is] one of the greatest moments in my life, and I mean that from my heart. I am just overwhelmed by this."

LES RICHTER • LINEBACKER

Drafted: Second overall out of California by New York Yanks in 1952.

Pro career: 1954-1962 (112 games). Senior nominee, was selected to eight consecutive Pro Bowls with L.A. Rams. ... Died on June 12, 2010.

ED SABOL • NFL FILMS

Founder/president/chairman of NFL Films from 1964-95. During tenure, NFL Films won 52 Emmy Awards.
