September 14, 2010 at 12:41AM

A 51-year-old Prior Lake man was killed in a two-car accident in Lakeville on Friday, and police said it appeared that he had the right-of-way.

John J. Hilla was headed east at 7 a.m. on County Road 70 when a car traveling south on Dodd Road turned east onto 70. The cars, both silver Volkswagen Jetta sedans, collided in the intersection. A witness told police that Hilla had a green light, Lakeville Police Chief Tom Vonhof said.

Hilla was flown to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale but died shortly after arrival.

The driver of the other car was identified as Hermelinda Martinez, 46, of Faribault.
