Mayte GarciaPrince's first wife and his first associate to write a book – will hold two book signings and a belly-dancing class in the Twin Cities next week.

The first session for "The Most Beautiful: My Life with Prince" will be relatively modest but it requires a ticket. For $30, you'll get a copy of Garcia's book, which she'll autograph, and be able to attend a talk at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the University Club in St. Paul.

The event is actually sponsored by Sub Text Books, a small but aggressive bookseller in downtown St. Paul. To purchase advance tickets, go to http://bit.ly/2pu3Ndl

As for the big event, of course, it's at Mall of America. Garcia, a Los Angeles-based dancer and actress, will be signing books in the Rotunda at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

While in the the Twin Cities, Garcia, who was married to Prince from 1996 to 2000, also will lead a belly-dancing class from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Barre Bliss Studio in south Minneapolis. For information, go to www.mayte.com/bellydanceclass.

"The Most Beautiful" covers Garcia's life with Prince but also her life as a childhood belly-dancing phenom, high school in Germany (her father was in the U.S. military), the birth and death of her baby with Prince, her post-Prince romance with Motley Crue's Tommy Lee (he asked her to marry him) and her single-motherhood (she has a 4-year-old daughter).

Garcia, 43, has thus far done a limited book tour, visiting stores in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco. She also has promoted the book with appearances on "Good Morning America" and other media outlets.
