Former President Bill Clinton was presented with the Dean Award for Public Leadership by Eric Schwartz, dean of the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs, in Northrop Auditorium at the University of Minnesota on Monday. The special event was part of a yearlong series of events to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the historic Civil Rights Act of 1964, which Clinton offered reflections on during the program. Proceeds from Monday's event will support funding for student scholarships to promote diversity and inclusion.
