BURLINGTON, Wis. — The president of Gateway Technical College is getting a raise and bonus.

A Journal Times of Racine report (http://bit.ly/16lW1zH ) says Bryan Albrecht will get a 2 percent raise as of July 1, bringing his salary to $214,200. He'll also receive a $7,500 performance bonus.

The raise was granted through a unanimous vote Thursday by the college's Board of Trustees. Albrecht thanked the board for its vote of confidence.

Board Chairman Ram (rahm') Bhatia says board members have been impressed with how Albrecht has increased Gateway's recognition and fundraising. He says Albrecht sits on over 50 boards across the country, which has helped put the college on the map in Wisconsin and across the nation.

Last year Albrecht got a 3.2 percent raise. He's been the college's president since 2006.
