President Obama congratulates Lynx Head Coach

October 15, 2015 at 8:53PM

WASHINGTON -- President Obama on Thursday called Minnesota Lynx Head Coach Cheryl Reeve to offer his congratulations on her team's victory in the Women's National Basketball Association Finals.

"The president recognized the team's talented players and noted that this win was the culmination of an impressive season," said a White House release on the call.

Sounds like the Lynx will also get a trip to the White House to meet Obama -- a huge basketball fan.

"The president said he looks forward to the team's visit to the White House to congratulate the players in person," White House officials said Thursday.
