About 2,300 Xcel Energy Co. customers in Oakdale, Maplewood and Lake Elmo lost electrical power at 11:18 a.m. Thursday.
Crews were working to restore the power, said Mary Sandok, spokeswoman for the utility company. It is uncertain what caused the outage. Temperatures were in the single digits approaching zero when the outage occurred.
