Postgame update: Hudson questionable for Tuesday

Twins second baseman is eligible to return from the DL to face the Rockies, but it's uncertain if he'll be ready.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said he's unsure if second baseman Orlando Hudson will be ready to return from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, when the Twins open a three-game series against Colorado.

Hudson has been out since May 30 with a sprained left wrist and is eligible to return for the Twins' next game. A switch-hitter, he's had an easier time batting righthanded than lefthanded. On Saturday, Hudson assured Gardenhire that he'd be ready Tuesday, but asked about Hudson after Sunday's 7-3 loss to Atlanta, Gardenhire said, "I have no idea."

"He's going to come and work out tomorrow, and we'll see where we're at on Tuesday," Gardenhire said. "That's why we're not making any roster moves [today]."
