A quick inventory from the Twins clubhouse after their 8-7, 10-inning loss to Seattle:

* Michael Cuddyer has a strained right hip. He's taking anti-inflammatory medication and hopes to play Tuesday, but it likely will be a few days.

* Delmon Young fouled a ball off his left leg but should be OK, Manager Ron Gardenhire said.

* Shortstop Trevor Plouffe is riding an 0-for-14 stretch that has lowered his average to .212. But he's done some damage at the plate in 13 games, hitting two doubles and three homers while racking up 10 RBI. He simply has to be better defensively, and he knows it. He blamed himself after the loss for being too passive on those two plays in the eighth inning.

The Twins had several good things happen: Denard Span was 3-for-5 with a home run (his first at Target Field), a stolen base and two RBI. Jim Thome had an amazing return from the DL, slugging home runs No. 592 and 593. Carl Pavano overcame a shaky first four innings and finished the seventh and was in line for his 100th career victory.

But in the end, it was just another crushing loss. You wonder how many more this team can take, and there are still 116 games to go.
