TORII LIKES THE TWO-HOLE:Twins outfielder Torii Hunter has batted in the No. 2 spot in the order the past two games. He was 1-for-3 on Wednesday and had three hits today. And the Twins won both games. Hunter in the two-hole throws the lineup a little out of whack. Brian Dozier is now batting fourth, where he can provide power and run production but it might cost him a plate appearance because he's batting lower in the order. And it could harm his speed game. But Hunter has done well batting second in recent seasons with Detroit. He's a career .300 hitter there, the highest of any spot he's batted in. ``The numbers speak for themselves," Hunter said. ``I'm pretty excited to be back in the two-hole but it (manager Paul Molitor) needs me to go back to the two hole I'll do that too. I'm all for the team but I definitely think the team is better with me in the two-hole." We'll see. Sometimes lineups click even when it doesn't make sense. Having grown up in Chicago, I remember when the White Sox batted Carlton Fisk in the two-hole and the lineup took off. Jacque Jones batting leadoff in 2002 worked out.

TOO EARLY?: Class AAA Rochester entered today 5-1. The relievers are pitching well. Josmil Pinto is off to a huge start. I asked Terry Ryan if he was paying attention and was rejected. ``Give them a couple of weeks before you start to get too carried away," he said, ``They have had a good start. I wish we had the record they have." Class AA Chattanooga is also 5-1, with Jorge Polanco on fire, Adam Brett Walker off to a good start, Byron Buxton beginning to wake up and Miguel Sano struggling.

START OF A RUN?: Mike Pelfrey spotted me in the clubhouse after the game. ``Nothing like two wins to change the atmosphere, huh?" he said. Yep, music was blasting and players weren't hiding out in the restricted areas of the clubhouse like after the home opener. This should be a fun team to watch hit, but it will have to prove that their other areas won't be liabilities. And Pelfrey has a chance to push his team into a win streak Friday if he can slow down the Indians offense.
